The LED Wall X Control Panels

Author:

Introduction

This document discusses the LED Wall X control panels' adjustable pins.

Adjustable Pins

To see the adjustable pins of the LED Wall X control panels, navigate to the LEDWALLS control board, then select the LED Wall X control panel you wish to adjust:

Once you select the control panel, head over to the Pin Values panel (by default, it's on the upper right side of the user interface).
There you should see the following pins:

Fitting of the Virtual and Physical LED Walls

Put in Front

Triggering Put in Front will place the virtual LED Wall in front of the virtual camera (the virtual counterpart of the studio camera). This is useful to begin the manual fitting process of the virtual and physical LED Walls.

Put Distance

Put Distance determines the distance (in meters) between the virtual LED Wall and the virtual camera when Put in Front is triggered.

Transformation

The Transformation parameters are as follows:

Pos - Position, in order of appearance, these are the X, Y, and Z coordinates of the virtual scene. These parameters use meters for measurement.
Rot - Rotation, in order of appearance, these are the rX, rY, and rZ coordinates of the virtual scene. These parameters use degrees for measurement.

NOTE: You can learn more about Camera and Head Transformations here.

Frustum

Turns ON or OFF the Frustum's image. When Frustum is turned OFF, the LED wall displays the Fill's image in place of the Frustum (unless Fill is turned OFF too, in which case, there is no output on the LED Walls).

Fill

Turns ON or OFF the Fill's image. When Fill is turned OFF, only the Frustum's image is displayed on the LED Walls.

Fill Resolution Mul

Short for Fill Resolution Multiplier. It adjusts the resolution of the Fill by applying a multiplier value on the Frustum's resolution.
When it is set to a value higher than 1, the Fill's resolution will be higher than the Frustum's.
When it is set to a value of 1, the Fill and the Frustum will have the same pixel resolution.
When it is set to a value lower than 1, the Fill's resolution will be lower than the Frustum's.

Fill Quality

It is used only with Unreal. Options include Low, Medium, High, and Custom. The Medium setting enables Lumen, while the Custom setting can be defined arbitrarily in the LED Wall's blueprint in Unreal Editor.

Fill Blur

Fill Blur applies a Blur mask to the Fill's image. The higher the value of the Fill Blur, the more blurred the Fill's image will become.

Fill Freeze

When turned ON, it freezes the Fill's image.

Digital Ext Thru

Short for Digital Extension Through. When turned ON, the Physical LED Wall will be visible through the Digital Extension's mask (this is the recommended setting for the main LED Wall, which is captured by the studio camera).

Flood Color

Flood Color adjusts the color output on the LED Wall when Flood monitor mode is selected

Segments

Segments divide a single LED Wall output into several slices (2 to 8). The slices are individually adjustable. When Segments is not set to Single, additional pin values appear.

Set Equal Slices

Automatically adjust the slices' Resolution and Pixel Offset to fill the area of the LED Wall.

X Engine

In a Multi-Machine setup, the X Engine pin determines which slices are rendered by which computer/machine.

X Pixel Offset

It applies an offset on the selected slice. It allows for manual adjustment of the position of the slices.

X Resolution

It sets the resolution of the selected slice.

Engine

In a Multi-Machine setup, the Engine pin determines which LED Walls' output is rendered by which computer/machine.
