Aximmetry DE Prerequisites
In complex Unreal Engine projects containing plugins with C++ code, or if the project includes code, Visual Studio 2022 must be downloaded and installed for cooking to work.
When downloading Visual Studio 2022 opt for the Community Edition, which is available for free. Official installation instructions including the download link can be found here.
When prompted to choose a workload during the installation process, you must select the following:
- .NET desktop development
- Desktop development with C++
- Windows application development
- Game Development with C++.
When Game Development with C++ is selected, make sure to include the following in the Installation details:
- C++ profiling tools
- C++ AddressSanitizer
- Windows 10 or 11 SDK (10.0.18362 or Newer)
- Unreal Engine installer
Additionally, in the Individual Components tab, select MSVC v143 - VS 2022 C++ x64/x86 build tools (v14.38-17.8):
For the most up-to-date information on using Visual Studio with Unreal Engine, refer to Unreal Engine's official documentation.
NOTE: Some plugins are only active in the editor. These editor-only plugins do not require installing Visual Studio.
Modifying, Repairing
Once Aximmetry is installed, you can use the installer to make the following changes:
- Repair damaged files
- Perform a Clean Install of Aximmetry

After you press Next you have the option to go Back, to Cancel the process, or to click Start to begin:
