Introduction
In this article, you can read about the Tracked Camera compounds which come with Aximmetry. They are necessary for SE and DE workflows with moving studio cameras (tracked cameras). We will describe how to import and connect them to other items in the Flow editor, and the Control Boards they include.
Tracked Camera
The term Tracked Camera in Aximmetry refers to a workflow that uses moving studio cameras equipped with a tracking device.
For stationary studio cameras without camera tracking systems, you can find more information on them in the Virtual Camera Compounds article.
Compound Locations
Aximmetry's Common_Library content package offers a number of different Tracked Camera compounds, depending on if you are using Aximmetry SE or DE.
Aximmetry SE
[Common_Studio]:Compounds\TrackedCam
Aximmetry DE
[Common_Studio]:Compounds\TrackedCam_Unreal
Compound names
Example: TrackedCam_Prev_3-Cam_3-Billboard
TrackedCam_ - the type of the camera compound. In the above-mentioned folders, you will only find the ones which start with TrackedCam.
Prev_ - besides the Program Out, it also has a Preview output.
3-Cam - can receive and process video inputs and tracking data up to 3 tracked cameras (3-Cam, 8-Cam)
3-Billboard - for every tracked camera it can process \ manage up to 3 Billboards.
Other additions to compound names:
AR_ - used for Augmented Reality elements. See: AR workflow in Aximmetry DE
Unreal_ - must be used with Unreal virtual scenes (Aximmetry DE workflow). See: Connection with Aximmetry DE
MixedCam_ - combination of a TrackedCam and VirtualCam compounds. Only available for Unreal virtual scenes (Aximmetry DE workflow). See:
Importing the compound
Open a compound \ project containing a TrackedCam compound, or drag and drop the compound from the File Browser to the Flow Editor. If you already have another camera compound in-place in the Flow Editor and you want to change it, then you can simply drag and drop the new camera compound on top of the old one. This will preserve all compatible settings and connections while changing the compounds.
Control Boards
After importing the compound, Aximmetry will automatically place the control boards included in the compound to the Menu.
These are in case of TrackedCam compounds:
- CAMERAS
- INPUTS
Connections in Aximmetry SE workflow
Tracked Camera compounds used in Aximmetry SE workflow require the following basic connections:
Expose the TrackedCam compounds Preview pin to the right side of the Flow Editor to output the preview video.
Expose the TrackedCam compounds Out pin to the right side of the Flow Editor to output the final composite video.
Connect the RENDER compounds Out pin to the TrackedCam compounds Rendered.
Connect the RENDER compounds Mask pin to the TrackedCam compounds Rendered Mask.
Connect the RENDER compounds Children pin to the TrackedCam compound Parent.
EXAMPLE: [Studio]:News Room\News Room - TrackedCam_3-Cam.xcomp
